ANTLERS were all the rage at Crompton Place shopping centre as children got lessons in reindeer fashion.
The Big Reindeer weekend launched the Christmas season at the Bolton mall, with special appearances by Santa and Rudolph the red nosed reindeer.
Festive family activities included storytelling sessions, a glitter tattoo parlour and reindeer face painting, as well as music and disco sessions.
Young shoppers got the chance to make their own reindeer antlers at Cupid’s crafty workshop on Saturday.
All children who attended the reindeer training and storytelling received an official ‘I Passed reindeer School’ certificate.
There was also a Rockin’ Reindeer photobooth complete with a big box of props for families to create a festive photo.
Father Christmas himself was in attendance on Sunday December 6 to lead the story sessions, as well as posing for ‘Santa Selfies’ and giving children their own magic reindeer food for sprinkling on the lawn this Christmas Eve.
Even the security guards and cleaning staff at Crompton Place got in on the action, sporting fun antlers and tinsel through out the weekend.
Paula Wood, manager at Crompton Place shopping centre, said: “It was a really fun couple of days. It was great to see our young shoppers enjoying the free activities and really get into the Christmas spirit.”
